ExportView privacy policy

Effective date: 20 August 2026

This policy applies to Sorola ExportView, which opens password-manager exports for viewing in the browser.

1. Local processing

ExportView reads the JSON or ZIP file you choose and decrypts it in your browser. The export, its passwords, the export password and the resulting table are not uploaded to Sorola's server. The tool does not use a server API, form submission, `fetch` request or other transfer to process the file.

The data remains in browser memory while the tool is in use. It is not saved to `localStorage`, cookies, a database or other persistent browser storage. CSV export is also created as a browser Blob and downloaded directly to the user's device.

2. Export password

If an export is encrypted, you enter its password in the browser dialog. The password is used only with browser cryptography to validate and decrypt the file. We do not receive, see or store the password.

The tool supports password-protected JSON exports and encrypted ZIP exports from the managers shown in the selector. Other encryption formats are not attempted.

3. Telemetry and third parties

The page includes the same Google Tag Manager script as other Sorola pages. Depending on the site's measurement settings, it may send technical or analytics information about the page view to Google. ExportView does not add the file name, password, export contents, service names or table data to the dataLayer, analytics events or the URL.

The export is not sent to Google, Sorola or any other third-party service.

4. Your responsibility

Do not open an unencrypted export on an untrusted device. Browser extensions, malware or another person using the device may see passwords displayed in the browser. Clear the results and close the tab when finished. Also delete unnecessary export files securely.
