1. Select QR code type
Choose the desired type from the dropdown menu based on the information you want to share:
- Website (URL): Shares a web address that opens in a browser after scanning.
- Plain text: Includes any text in the QR code.
- WiFi network: Allows the recipient to join your network automatically without typing a password.
- Email: Opens a new message with a preset recipient address and subject.
- Call number: Initiates a phone call to the given number.
- Send SMS: Opens the SMS app with a preset number and message.
2. Enter details
Fill in the fields related to your chosen type. For example:
- For URL type:
https://sorola.fi - For WiFi type: network name (SSID), password, and security type (usually WPA/WPA2).
You can also choose a color for the code using the color picker.
3. Update and download QR code
- Press the Update QR code button, and the ready code will appear on the screen.
- Verify the code by scanning it with your phone.
- Press Download as image (PNG) if you want to save the code to your device.
Privacy
The QR code is generated via a server-side API, but the data you enter is not saved on the server. Do not enter passwords or other sensitive information into the QR generator.
